Undercover Boss
Vom Crown Hill

He takes new places, travelling and changing everyday situations in his stride. He likes to be included without needing to be the centre of attention. Being close to his people has always mattered to him; being alone has never been his favourite thing. Over the years, he has developed excellent self-regulation: he can wait, observe and settle.

His hunting drive is definitely there. When connected to his person, Boss is attentive, responsive and reliable. Given an unsupervised opportunity, however, his independent side can take over – he may decide to follow his own agenda and return later. To us, this is not about insecurity or aggression, but a very typical combination of independence, confidence and hunting instinct.

With other dogs, Boss is good-natured and socially confident. We particularly appreciate him when raising our puppies. He seeks contact, is patient and sets clear, appropriate boundaries.

From a breeding perspective, what interests us most about Boss is this combination of calmness, confidence and everyday stability. He is not a dog without independence – but one who has learned to combine it with a close bond and good responsiveness.
