Vampire's Of Transylvania
Bedrocks Most Wanted Pebbles

In everyday life, she seems to consider herself a slightly more compact Thai Ridgeback – and within our pack, there is very little doubt about who she believes is in charge.

Socke was bred and born by us under our Vampire's Of Transylvania (UCI) kennel. She too was originally intended for breeding. Her heat cycles, however, never developed reliably enough for us to feel comfortable planning a mating. By now, she has reached an age at which we no longer want to start a breeding career with her.

That chapter may be closed – but Socke's actual role within our pack certainly is not.

She lives completely naturally among the Thai Ridgebacks and is an unexpectedly valuable social partner, particularly for young dogs. Size does not impress her much, and she is remarkably good at making her boundaries understood.

Every now and then, however, she needs a reminder that confidence and body size are two entirely different things.

Pride comes before a fall. Socke would probably be the last one to agree.
